Kunzite Stretch-Slip-On Bracelet

Beautiful, gemmy Kunzite beads make up these braceles,  fits wrists 6.5-7.5 inch handmade by David and his mom. Beads are 10 mm in size.   It is a pale pink to violet-purple gemstone and the transparent form of the mineral spodumene. Treasured for its delicate color and vitreous luster, it gets its hue comes from small traces of manganese. 

Discovery: The gemstone was first identified as a unique variety of spodumene in 1902 in Pala, California.Namesake: It was named in 1903 in honor of George Frederick Kunz, a famed American gemologist and vice president of Tiffany & Co..Major Deposits: While originally discovered in the US, significant quantities of gem-quality kunzite are primarily mined in Afghanistan and Brazil, with smaller deposits found in Madagascar.
